Procedure (45 minutes)
T shows a photo of a woman who is crying and asks the SS about the possible reasons for that. The SS guess.
T writes a question on the board and asks the SS to listen to a conversation to answer the question." Why is Sandy unhappy?
SS read a conversation and try to find three different ways of talking about the future.
T elicits the SS' knowledge of will, going to and present continuous in expressing future. T. assigns the SS to match the future forms with their uses.
SS will work to underline the appropriate future form then the SS listen to check their answers.
SS put the verbs in the appropriate future form and then listen to check their answers.
SS are listening to a conversation for the gist. They answer a question after listening. ( Is there a future for Sandy and David?)
T refreshes the SS' knowledge of the use of future forms and puts them in groups to answer the activity. SS match each sentence to the best explanation.
The SS in groups choose the appropriate future form for completing the sentences.
