Procedure (38-49 minutes)
Collect students' cellphones in a bag.pick one and get them to guess whose is it? Students pick phones and guess for whom are these phones. Write on WB Teacher's phone, Students' phone.
Draw on WB a table and get a student to write his/her father's name, uncle's name , husband's name. Elicit from students :T: Whose ..............?S: Mohamed's father. Get one of students to ask another student ,( Whose..............?)
Students read the instructions and answer the exercise individually. Then, students check their answers in pairs, followed by whole class feedback.
Write on WB Teacher..........bag............. .Ask student where to add 's. Students read and answer ex.2. Students work in pairs. Students check in pairs. Provide WC feedback.
Divide WB into 3 columns, to present pictures and sentences about ('s ) in singular, regular plural and irregular plural. Elicit from students sentences describe the pictures. Write the sentences. Elicit from Ss how to shorten these sentences or how to add ('s). If they can not , help Ss by asking (Who is the owner?) and write it first . Ask Ss (Is it singular or plural?) . Illustrate the different between singular and plural if Ss don't know the difference. If the word is plural ,ask Ss (Does the word end in s?) If yes we put (') only. If no and the word is plural , we add ('s) . If the word is singular ,we add ('s). Write other examples on WB . Students work in pairs to deduct the rule. Give WC feedback. Students answer ex 1 p. 141, in pairs. WC feedback.
Regroup Ss by giving them names: moon's face, stars'brightness, sun's warm. Give Ss different pictures to discuss in their groups.
Students choose one of the following groups to be a part in , fishermen, teachers, Johny. Students sit in their group to discuss and describe the given pictures . Tell Ss to use ('s)or (').
