In this lesson, students practice speaking.
Main Aims

To provide fluency speaking practice in the context of talking about firsts.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide clarification of vocabulary used to tell stories in the context of firsts
Procedure (42-55 minutes)
Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Have a lead-in based on talking about firsts to set up context.
Content Preparation (8-10 minutes) • ?????To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening
give Ss language they can use to do the speaking task, in this case, Useful Language sections
Language Preparation (8-10 minutes) • ????To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks
give Ss language they can use to do the speaking task, in this case, Useful Language sections
Speaking Time (15-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
allow Ss to talk about the topic (talking about firsts) at least twice, 3 times if time allows with different peers)
Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
provide Ss with feedback on language based on your monitoring of the task.
