To provide learners practice with their gist listening skills and their detailed listening skills, in the context of travel.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide learners practice speaking for fluency in the context of taking a trip.
Procedure (29-37 minutes)
Students will be sent to breakout rooms to answer and discuss with each other "If you could travel any place in the world, where would you go? Why?"
Mini-MFP Time phrases: -For two weeks -On the first day, subject + verb -The next day, subject + verb -For the first week, subject + verb -For the second week, subject + verb - On our last day, subject + verb CCQs for Meaning: If I say "First, I went to Denmark. Next, I went to Sweden.", then which country did I visit before the other? (Denmark). If I say "The fist day we ate seafood and the last day we ate Mediterranean food.", then which food did we eat at the end of our trip? (Mediterranean). If I say, "The first week, we visited relatives and the second week we traveled by ourselves.", then did we visit relatives at the beginning of out trip? (yes/no). Pronunciation practice: (model, choral repeat, individual repeat).
-Learners will be shown the gist task (putting pictures of the trip in their correct order in terms of occurrence). -Learners will listen audio for gist. -Learners will work individually to order picturse, followed by working in pairs to discuss their choices. -OCFB
-Present T/F task learners will complete after they listen for details. -Have learners listen to the audio. - Have learners answer T/F about the audio. - Have learners discuss their answers and rationale in pairs. -OCFB.
-Learners will answer the following questions, taking notes on their answers: "Where did you go on your last vacation? Who did you go with? Where did you stay? What did you do? Did you have fun?" -Learners will then discuss their answers with their partners, in breakout rooms. -Learners will then share what they learned about their partner's last trip with the class.
