Procedure

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Greeting : T how are you guys ? - Sahar , Are you okay ? - Yasi , how is everything ? - Raha do you have grand parents ? - Ava , how about your ? how old are they ? - guys , look at this picture . - This is my grand grand father . -Bahar, Are your grand grand parents alive? - Sahar how about you ? / How old is she ? - guys , guess how old is he ? - He is 101 years old ! - He looks like younger or older ?

Pre-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

- I put you in pairs randomly . - tick the sentence if it is important to live longer .with your partner in 2 mins . - I go to different rooms and listen to them . - After 2 mins , who wants to say ? - yes Ava tell us . - look at this text , answer 2 Qs. individually in 2 mins - Gist : - what is it about ? - which countries have more 100-year-old people ? - Sahar what was it about ? - Bahar , what are those 3 countries ?

While-Reading/Listening #1 (12-15 minutes) • To provide students with gist and specific information reading tasks

-T : match these words with definitions. individually in 2 mins . ICQs : - Do u match the definitions or find them ? - how much time do u have ? - alone or with partner ? -After 2 mins . -T : check your answers with answer key . - T : now Sahar and Ava are Ecuador / pooneh and Bahar are Italy / Raha and Yasi are Japan . - Read your paragraph individually , tick if these point are true or not . in 2 mins . - check with your partner . - now , u have 2 mins to read your paragraph again and take note important points. be ready to summarize it . - After 2 mins , - T : choose a different partnet and summarize your paragraph .in 4 mins . - I am monitoring and going to different rooms . - T : choose anew partner and retell your paragraph in 3 mins . - T is monitoring and taking note some errors . - now u all know about at least 2 paragraphs . - In which places are these thins important ? answer with your partner in 1 min. - who wants to answer ? - .... write all answers . guys please check .

Post-Reading (10-12 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

-T : I put you in pairs randomly . - interview your partner and say how long is her life . in 5 mins . - T is monitoring . - Sahar , how often does your partner have breakfast ? - Ava , how many hours does your partner sleep a day ?

Feedback and correction (2-3 minutes) • To late correction and prevent consolidation

In this stage which is a flexi stage T will write or show some sentences which are all incorrect and asks Ss to find the errors and fix them . in pair or by elicitation . (T find these sentences when she or he is monitoring an going to different rooms . )
