Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-8 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Ask the students 'what will they do if they travel abroad? Such as, Thailand, America, Europe and etc.

Test #1 (5-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Give students a task to finish on conditional clause

Teach (10-15 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

1. Give the students another task on the target language, and students do their work individually; 2. Send the students into groups and make them discuss their answers; 3. Nominate the representatives to show their answer, and give corrections in the open class; 4. Present the rules to students to correct some mistakes in the previous task they have made, and ask CCQs to clarify the meaning; 5. Drilling chorally in the open class and nominate some students to read the clauses and give some suggestions on intonation to students;

Test #2 (5-8 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

1. Give students a task related to the target language they have learned, and students should do this task individually; 2. After their completion, send them into small groups to discuss the answers; 3. Nominate other representatives to give answers in the open class, and check answers together;
