Procedure (32-45 minutes)
Students speak with a partner saying when was the last time they had to apologize and why. "Tell your partner when was the last time you had to apologize and why".
This activity will cover the meaning, form, pronunciation and appropriacy of the TL. This activity will also cover language for the speaking activity afterwards, such as different ways to apologize, reasons for apologizing and responses to apologies. " So why do we apologize?" "what kind of word is apologize?" " look at sentence 1, a someone apologizing match to to either A OR B, is it formal or informal?" "And number two?" "look back at sentence one, who would you day this to, what setting? "what about number two?" "listen and repeat after me" ˈsɒri (sentence 1 IPA) əˈpɒləʤiz (sentence 2 IPA) "Now look at the sentences 1-16 and match them with the meanings A,B or C, with a partner, 5 minutes".

Allow students to ask questions. Provide feedback to students on the lesson and perform DEC through elicitation questions to students. Conclude the lesson.
