To introduce and provide practice of writing a short email telling your family what these days (lockdown) have been like.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide fluency in sharing and describing their experiences during this lockdown.
Procedure (29-37 minutes)
Students will be presented a few pictures related to the lockdown situation nowadays in order for them to relate more to the topic and in this way they can share their experience lived.
Students will be presented a layout as a sample in order for them to identify the different parts or sections of the email and the language that it is part of it. Students will be asked to identify whether the language shown is formal or informal.
Students will be presented a set of slides containing the useful language for writing an informal email to their families. MFPA will be presented. In this step TTT will be reduced in order for students to work MFPA:
Students will brainstorm their ideas to create their own email. Students will be asked to write their own email.
Students will be provided with an online checklist so they can read a peer's email. In breakout rooms they share their own writings. Have class give each other feedback after using the checklist.
