TP4 - Functional Language, Appropriately stating opinions and trying the change someone else's opinion
Upper-intermediate level

Description

In this lesson, student's will learn how to use lead-ins for statements of one's opinion and for statements made in order to try to change someone else's opinion. They will learn the subtly that is necessary when stating one's opinions and trying the change someone else's opinions. This subtly is necessary so that the speaker does not make the listener feel attacked or threatened. It is essential that listeners feel that their opinions are acknowledged and that they feel comfortable with the discussion. If this occurs then the listener will be more open to alternative views to his/her own.
