Main Aims

  • To provide detailed listening practice using a text about 30 days challenge in the context of giving many examples about different topics in life.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide review of habits in the context in general situations

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T greets Ss and asks to talk in pairs about their habits they acquired during the quarantine or regular days. -T gets feedback from Ss and comments accordingly

Controlled Practice (10-20 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice after listening to the records.

T asks Ss to read the questions on the slides. T creates breakout rooms for Ss to discuss the questions individually. Ss takes from 3-5 minutes to discuss the questions that are shown before in the slides. T stops the breakout rooms and let Ss to answer the questions accordingly.

Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

T asks Ss to read the second task in the slides T send the students to breakout rooms to do what the task required. T monitor the Ss during the solving time in the breakout rooms. T close the breakout rooms and let the Ss to solve the questions by themselves.

Feedback (5-8 minutes) • To check the Ss questions and if they understood all the concepts in the lesson

T asks the Ss to give their feedback about the lesson. T asks the Ss if they have any questions regarding the lesson. Ss ask questions regarding the lesson and tasks and T answers them. T ends the lesson.
