Procedure (31-42 minutes)
Students will be presented a slide containing the following question: 'Do you like having or buying things made out of gold?' Teacher nominate some students and give them some time to discuss the topic in open class.
Students will be presented 4-6 patterns for suffixes and a brief text in which language is contextualized. Students read a Google Form for gist to get a general idea and answer individually. Students then compare answers in pairs via breaking rooms. Open class will be conducted.
Teacher will present some Google Slides containing the suffixes students will learn in the lesson. Students complete a task in word formation using a multiple choice task designed in Google forms. Then, in Open class teacher and students clarify form and meaning. Finally, we will explore work stress.
Students will be presented a task in orderform them to confirm understanding of suffixes and word transformation. Students complete a Google Form classifying the word with the correct suffix. Students pay attention closely to spelling changes. Teacher will conduct OCFB to clarify questions students may come up with.
Students will be given a speaking task for them to discuss some questions relating to gold and the importance we give it in our lives. Teacher will divide class into pairs / groups. Students discuss their ideas in breaking rooms. Teacher monitors while completing the task. Final step: OCFB.
