Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

First of all, the T greets students and asks them to have a look at a Jamboard link and for 2 minutes express their opinions about some statements related to the theme of manners. Choose a good action and bad action.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

The teacher asks students to listen again to and say if the given sentences are True or False

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Clarifying Meaning, Form, Pronunciation, and Appropriacy. A- Meaning and Form. 4 minutes. I will provide learners with a task in which they have some vocabulary terms with different options and they have to choose the right option. 2- Pronunciation. 4 minutes. I will focus on word stress for some words. They will be given a set of words and different options where stress falls on these words. I will launch a drilling activity , silently and loudly either individually or in pairs.

Productive Task(s) (18-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

To help students practice what they have learned orally, I will ask them to work in pairs describing good and bad manners in their culture or from other cultures. In my culture/ country/ society it is appropriate to shake hands with women. In Asian cultures, it is inappropriate to look at someone in the eyes.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

While learners are doing their free-practice task, the teacher can pick some language to correct. 1- examples of incorrect language 2- Examples of good language.
