To present, practice, and produce the vocabulary for shopping (online or in shops).

To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of shopping online or in shops.
Procedure (37-47 minutes)
-T asks: -Do you like shopping? -What do you usually buy? -How frequently do you go shopping? -What do you want to buy? -What do you need to buy?
-T shows the picture of eight different chain stores and ask. -Do you know these stores? Yes / No -Can you find these stores only in Turkey? No. -Can you find them in other countries? Yes. -What do we call these kinds of stores? (global) chain stores. -T shares the link to the Discussion HO for Ss to talk about different chain stores (3-5 min)
-T will show pictures of new vocabulary in the context of a shop or store. -T will ask Ss if they know what is the picture. -Ss look at the pictures and try to tell the word, if the know it. -T says the word out loud and asks Ss to repeat chorally and individually. -Ss look at the word and T asks: -Where is the stress of the word? -Ss reply for each word, i.e. changing room, the sales, till, shop assistant, trolley, customer, shelves, (self-service) checkout, and receipt.
-T will share a link to a matching exercise. -Ss complete individually and then compare in pairs. -Back in the main room, Ss listen to an audio 4.13 to confirm their answers. -Ss complete individually a short exercise to fill in the blanks. The first letter of the word is given. -We check as a group.
-Ss will revise some words to complete a text about shopping online. -Ss listen to the T and repeat chorally and individually. -Ss then proceed to read the text and complete it with the words from the list. -After 2 or 3 minutes, Ss listen to audion 4.14 to compare their answers.
-Ss will discuss questions in pairs about shopping. -Do you prefer buying things in 'real' shops or online? Why? -Do you think online shopping is safe? -In general, what payment method do you usually use? -Is it common to pay with cash or card?
