To provide product writing practice of a description of an event.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide detailed and scan reading practice using a text about a family Christmas in the context of happy events.
Procedure (38-48 minutes)
1. T will start by showing SS a picture of herself during Christmas. And explain that: "Christmas of 2017 is an event that made me happy because I got to be with my whole family and I saw snow for the first time." (1 min) 2. T will ask SS to talk with each other about an event that made them happy and that they have 2 min to discuss in the breakout room. (3 min) 3. T will get SS back to the main session and then ask SS to volunteer to share what their partner said. (2 min)
1. T will show SS a slide with the next activity: "You're going to read the text and answer the questions related to it in pairs. You have 7 minutes." (1 min) 2. T will give SS a link and put them into breakout rooms. (7 min) 3. T will get SS back into the main session and conduct OCFB about the text. (1-2 min)
1. T will give SS an image with the content checklist so they can do their work. (1 min) 2. T will explain that when describing an event, their writing needs to answer those questions. (2 min) 3. T will give SS 15 minutes for SS to write the description of their event. (15 min)
1. T will explain to SS that they'll be working in pairs and check that their partner has included all the point from their checklist. 2. T will put SS into breakout rooms where they'll be checking each other's work and giving feedback to each other. (8 min) T will monitor while SS peer check. 3. If there's time, T will ask SS to share about their partner's writing. 4. T will say goodbye and that they'll see everyone next week at the same time.
