Procedure (36-46 minutes)
- T greets students - Little warm-up in case there are late comers (questions about their mornings, whether they've had breakfast or not, etcetera) - Ss discuss the questions: "What's your favorite food and why?" "How many times do you eat it in a month?" in breakout rooms - 4 minutes - OCFB
- Ss read a short story on eating habits. - Gist: Ss answer a question about the text's nature - 3 min
- T covers MFPA in the presentation MEANING EXERCISE in Jamboard? With some images & CCQs: FORM Question: What are these? Exercise in Google Forms - Ss correct the wrong sentences PRON Linkage / Stress APPROPRIACY Are these formal or informal?
- Ss complete an exercise in Google Forms (choosing the correct phrasal verb) - 5 min - OCFB
- Ss use the language fluently in breakout rooms with a speaking activity: "Tell a partner about your eating habits!" - T joins the rooms to observe and make notes on accurate & inaccurate language
- T uses board to highlight good language and correct some mistakes SS made during the activity
