Procedure (37-44 minutes)
Start with a video clip https://youtu.be/l8EeNP4WXwA beginning. minute 5:00-5:30, 6:20, 11:18 Answer, what's the best compliment you've ever received. I'll start, and then everyone can share. If there is more than 4 or 5 people, we can split into breakout rooms.
In groups, you will invent compliments that go with these 3 situations. 3 EXAMPLES (show slideshow) Museum Friend goes shopping In nature EXAMPLE: I adore Chicarito. He is a fantastic football player. breakout for 2 minutes My examples. If I am in a museum, I would say. " I really love that painting. It is full of color." If my friend goes shopping, I might say, "That a great jacket. Where did you buy it?" I'm in nature, I might say "It's so gorgeous. I could stay here all day." OCFB to gather responses from class.
