To provide students with practice on verb-noun collocations within the context of their role models or important persons both past and present.

To provide practice in speaking fluency using verb-noun collocations in the context of role models and important people
Procedure (26-36 minutes)
Teacher introduces themselves. Teacher uses Google Slides document to begin Lead-in questions.(2 questions) Teacher shares link to Dialog and Question Worksheet. Learners give 3 minutes to complete. Upon completion learners are assigned a partner and instructed to share answers. Teacher requests answers from one learner of each pair. OCFB is given.
Teacher returns to Google Slides document. Teacher guides students on basic verb-noun structure and uses 2 examples to clarify meaning, form and pronunciation. Teacher give light drills to all students using examples.
Teacher gives link of Google Forms Multiple Choice Questions to learners via Zoom chat. Learners advised to read carefully and complete by filling in the blanks with the correct verb in the correct tense. Learners have 5 mins to complete this task. Learners advised to not submit answers. Learners are to check their answers with their partners from previous task via Zoom Chat. Answer check is given 2 mins to complete. Upon completion learners are to submit and OCFB is done.
Learners instructed to talk with their group members about their role models or great persons in the music industry, favorite artists etc. Learners instructed to attempt to use the proper verb-noun collocations in their discussions. Learners placed in Breakout Room groups of 2 or 3 dependent on class size. Task to be completed in 5 mins. Monitor learners for any errors in verb-noun collocations and perform instant feedback where necessary.
