Procedure (35-44 minutes)
- T will share the screen with Ss (1 min) - T will show a Google Slide with the following question: What do you think about teenagers? - T asks: 1. Guys, I have a question for you: How many minutes do you have for this activity? 2. And second question guys: What is the activity about? What do you have to do? - Ss discuss in breakout rooms (2 mins) - T monitors breakout rooms - T nominates 2 students to give their answers (1-2 min)
- T shares the screen to show the activity to the Ss - T explains the activity: Ss have to read the sentences and write 'P' if you think it’s a parent talking about a teenager and 'T' if you think it’s a teenager talking about a parent. (1 min) - T shows students how to work on the document - T sets time (3-4 mins) - T asks ICQ: 1. Guys, how much time do you have for this activity? 2. What do you have to do? - T sends the Google Slide's link - Ss work on the task - Ss work on private chat to send their answers. - Feedback: T nominates Ss to give the correct answers (2 mins)
- T shares screen with Ss Meaning: - T explains that they are going to talk about the meaning of the words they just learned - T explains try to make students figure out the meaning by themselves before T explains - T asks CCQ's to students so that they can have a better understanding of the meaning - T does this with every word Form: - T goes over form with the Ss - T asks Ss what each highlighted word is E.g. - Can you tell me what the following words are in this specific context? Change the channel - Ss have to tell the T what this words are if Ss don´t know T will guide them to the correct answer. - Twill do this with all 4 sentences Pronunciation Pronunciation: - T cover sentence stress, asking Ss where do they think the stressed words are while she says the words out loud so that they can hear where the stress is. - T will show students the IPA of each word and repeat the word couple times so that they know how to pronounce it - Then the T will nominate Ss so that they can pronounce the words individually -
- T will share her screen with students (1 min) - T will explain to students that they have to drag the correct answer to the blank space - T will explain that there are two exercises, the first one they have to decide whether the missing word is a verb, adjective, noun, phrasal verb among others. - T will explain that the second exercise they have to choose the actual word that is supposed to be on the blank space. - T sets time ( 5 minutes) - T asks: 1. Guys, what do you have to do on the first exercise? 2. Okay, and what do you have to do on the second exercise? 3. Great, and how much time do you have for both exercises? - T sends link - Ss work on the exercise - Ss work on private chat to send their answers to a partner (1 min) - Feedback: T nominates students to give the answers to her (2 min)
