Description

- In this lesson, Ss will be introduced and practice some narrative tenses through a short reading text ........ The lesson starts with Ss surfing the internet to find three interesting facts about ....... This is followed by identifying all the past tenses in the 1st paragraph of the text. Then, introducing the MFP of the TL. Finally, there is a controlled practice through an activity designed to complete the story using the correct form of the verb in brackets and free practice via a speaking for fluency activity.

Procedure

Lead-in (5-6 minutes) • To engage learners and activate their schemata.

- I will show Ss a picture of the famous actor; Antonio Banderas. - I will ask them to surfe the internet and find 3 intereting info about him - I will send Ss to breakout rooms to disucc their findings. - Ss will share in the mainroom while I write the sentences where narrative forms were used.

Exposure / Highlighting TL (6-7 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation and draw the attention of the Ss to the TL

Instructions: Read the paragraph in the Google Form and choose the correct Tense. - I will a link to this Google Form. - Ss will do the form individually for 2 mins. - I will ask a task-related ICQ: • Are we going to write something or to choose only? (choose) - In pairs, Ss will be sent to breakout rooms to compare and submit their answers for 3mins. - Ss will be back in the main room for an OCFB. (answers will be shown in Google form summary).
