Description
The requirements for jobs through test-teach-test strategy. The lesson starts with a lead-in /discussion about the most/least jobs that the students would like to do. This is followed by a categorizing activity for the vocabulary (target language) based on the students' preferences'. After that, the core teaching exercise regarding meaning, form and pronunciation of vocabulary items. Then a Controlled Practice (Test) filling the gap from the workbook. Finally a free activity.with role-playing or a game.

Procedure (47-60 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Show ss some pictures of different jobs – which one would you like to do most/least? Why?
Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language
ss work in pairs to categorise the words and phrases (I’d like to… I wouldn’t mind doing it… I wouldn’t like to), discussing their opinions at the same time.
Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage
going through the answers to the previous exercise, paying attention to meaning, form and pronunciation of vocabulary items
Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test
Controlled Practice (Test) – Workbook p40 ex 9 (work in pairs
Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
