Encourage students to read more novels and short stories
Procedure (37-45 minutes)
Display some photos about horror and crime movies covers and ask students whether they like watching this kind of movies; What about crime fiction books? What do you like about ? What dont you like about? What was the most intersting book or movie that you really liked and why?
Pre-teaching vocabulary : page-turner; spine-chilling;fiction; suspense;prolific; thriller; pen-name; mystery students have to find themselves the meaning and compare their work with their peers
Get the students to read properly the question, then make their guesses before proceeding to reading (two short text: a profile and a book review) Answer the questions about how to describe a literay work/an author
This stage will rely on peer correction as instructed before; students need to check with each other their answers under my assistance.
