Procedure (36-45 minutes)
T-Ss: S show slide (1), asks Ss if they know who these people are, what is the connection Ss-T: guess T-Ss: plays a few seconds of their music as a clue. Ss answer Musicians T-Ss: teacher shows slide (2), try to elicit the connection from the name of the house and the pictures. Are both are musicians? Why is the house called Handel and Hendrix? Did they live there the same time? do you think they were born in England? Ss- T: musicians, lived in the house at different times, not from England
T-Ss: shows a list of words and definitions. ask Ss to match one to the other S-S: work in pairs Ss-T-Ss: go over the answers and show answer key
T-Ss: shows slide (4) explains they will listen the guide to the Handel& Hendrix in London museum. Before they listen asks them to read the sentences and guess which sentence is about Handel and which about Hendrix ( Han or Hen) S: work alone T-Ss: T plays the audio Ss-T-Ss: checks and shows answer key
T-Ss: shows Ss slide (6) and asks them to read questions. S- read question on their own. T-Ss: plays audio ( pauses after Handel to let them answer 1-5) then continues. S-S: compare answers with partners. Ss-T-Ss: check together, T shows answer key
T-Ss: asks SS if they have ever visited a house were a famous person lived? Who and where was it? who's house would they like to visit and why? Ss-T-Ss: Ss tell of houses they saw and or/ would like to see
