Procedure (37-49 minutes)
T-Ss T plays music to introduce the topic of the lesson Ss Ss listen to the music and try to understand the content. Ss-T Ss try and guess what the song is about T-Ss Teacher shows slide of money Ss- T Ss try to guess the meanings T-Ss T shows Ss question. Ss make assumptions about money
T-Ss T shows Ss picture of two 2nd conditional examples, asks a question about them. Ss-T Ss reply with their assumptions. Ss can also give their own scenarios/answers to practice the form.
T-Ss T gives Ss 2nd Conditional exercises to work with. Ss Ss read and analyze the text to scan for the tense(s) T-Ss T asks Ss for answers based on the text. Ss-T Ssgive their answers Ss Ss underline the tense after "If" T-Ss T drills the form and meaning of 2nd Conditional to Ss
T-Ss T Ss exercise based on were/weren't/ would/wouldn't Ss Ss work speperately on the exercise Ss- T Ss check answer with T. T-Ss T instructs Ss to write exercise for more clarification
T-Ss T clarifies that the Ss have a better idea of the structure with an exercise. Ss Ss go through the exercise and complete it T-Ss-T Teacher get students to answer the questions and answers
