Procedure (45-59 minutes)
1.T. shows the students a picture and some examples in comparative and superlative forms and elicits the meanings from them by CCQ. a. are they all fast? b. do they all have same speed?
Ss. read the text in the students book p 70n and underline the superlative forms of the adjectives in the text. Ss. share their answers in groups. then discuss the answers with T.
T. shows Ss pictures and sentences and asks students about the adjectives and the difference between the forms. T. uses CCQ to make sure Ss. understand the difference between comparatives and superlatives. Ss. give examples in superlatives using the pictures projected to them.
T. shows sentences to Ss. sentences and elicits the meaning, the form, and the pronunciation. 1. where is the adjective? 2. are both objects on the same level? 3. what changed in the adjective here? T. pronounce the words and Ss. repeat after him. (drilling)
1.Ss. do a task where they have to fill in the blank with the correct word. 2. Ss. share their answers in groups. 3. T. gives Ss. the answer key.
Ss. are given a task where they have to complete the sentences with their own ideas using the superlative form. 2. Ss. hare answers in groups. 3. Ss. share answers with T. and T. corrects their mistakes.
Ss. are asked to write five sentences as examples on superlatives. Ss. read their examples and correct each others. T. corrects the mistakes that students don't see.
