To provide clarification of adjectives in the context of describing the taste and texture of food
Procedure (26-43 minutes)
T. asks ' Did you have a snack last night?' , 'What do you usually eat while you are watching a movie?', 'How does it taste?' ss will talk about food.
T. shows some pictures and elicits the meaning of words (in Unit 5- ex: 1-2-3) T. elicits the 'texture' and 'taste', writes them on the board elicits the vocabulary by using CCQ's. T. sticks the words on the board. Students will come to the board as a whole class and put the words on the board according the cathegories of 'texture' and 'taste' Students will practice the pronunciation of these words. Ss will work in pairs and discuss the taste and texture of their favourite food by using the vocabulary.
T. asks ' Did your mother force ou to eat something that you didin't like when you were a child?', 'What was that? 'How does it taste?'. T. elicits the context of the texts.
T. gives HO's. T. makes the students read the text for gist. They will work in pairs and answer the questions in ex. 1.
Ss will read the text again for the specific information. They will work in pairs and answer the questions in ex 2.
Ss will work in pairs and discuss the taste and texture of their favourite food and a food or dish they can't stand.
