Procedure (36-45 minutes)
T-Ss: greets Ss and shows them slide 1. Asks them what they see. Ss-T: give many answers, some specific and some general. T-Ss: explains the topic is "The Body".
T-Ss: Shows second slide and elicits response. Ss-T: answer what they think the word is T-Ss: repeats the word and asks all to say it again Ss-T: repeat the word T-Ss: corrects the pronunciation if needed. shows the word written. T-Ss: asks if it is a noun or a verb Ss-T: Ss answer T-Ss: corrects if needed and moves to next slide
T-Ss: shows slide 26 (exercise matching the name with the part of the body), asks them to take a picture of the task. explains they will work in pairs. S-S: match the names to the pictures in pairs. T-Ss: asks for the answers, corrects when needed T-Ss: shares answer key
T-Ss: shows slide (26) elicits response as what is happening in the picture. Ss- T: corrects if needed and asks to repeat and checks pronunciation. Shows form. T-Ss: continues to go over vocabulary (slides 29-37) elicits response and goes over form and pronunciation. T-Ss: asks CCQ questions to see Ss understand meaning. Ss-T: answer CCQ questions
T-Ss: shows slide (38) explains the exercise and asks them to work in pairs. Ss-T-Ss: go over the exercise. T corrects if needed. T-Ss: shows answer key
T- Ss: asks student to write two sentences using the words they learnt (nouns and verbs). Gives example. Ss-T: read out sentences and correct them together.
