Procedure (36-45 minutes)
T welcomes the Ss to the lesson. Opens a powerpoint presentation shows pictures to guess the subject of the lesson T gets feedback from Ss on the topic they have to learn
T Ss T shows one word at a time for students from the powerpoint to pronounce and learn the meaning of the words. Ss T reply by repeating the words they hear, until the T is satisfied they are pronounced correctly
T asks Ss to do the exercise from the powerpoint individually: page 159, ex 2a. Ss students write their answers to the exercise. T-Ss The exercise is checked from the listening audio, page 159 2b Ss-T Students give feed back on any definitions they were unsure about.
T-Ss T gives Ss exercise 1a, page 159 T-Ss T explains that they have to match pictures with the vocabulary in pairs in the breakout room Ss-T When Ss return from the breakout room they will give their answers. T-Ss T plays the audio of the text for Ss to check their answers Ss-T Ss give feedback on their answers to T, whether correct or incorrect.
T-Ss T asks Ss to look at the question below 1b, page 159 T- Ss T shows Powerpoint slide with questions on the topic learnt PW S-S Ss go to their breakoutrooms to discuss their questions and answers Ss-T Ss will report on what their partners discussed Ss-T If there is enought time Ss can ask T the same questions
