In this lesson SS will learn about collocations (have , take , do , make) and apply their understanding on some exercises . Irregular and regular Comparatives and superlative revision is included in the lesson too

Procedure

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Ask students if they know about the word collocation, superlative or comparatives ?

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

Elicited the collocation (make mistake) as an example to clarify the idea of collocations

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

Ask the Ss to find some collocations that they already know like homework ---do homework. Shower ---take shower

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Ask students to write a paragraph about their daily routine using some collocations
