Description
In this lesson, Ss will learn about a / an. The lesson starts with writing the alphabet, then ask them to read a dialogue to highlight the language, then clarify the meaning and form. Finally, give them a practice.

Procedure (35-45 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Ask students to write the alphabet on the board in a form of a competition.
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a dialogue.
Ask the Ss to answer a question about the a dialogue then in pairs learners will read a dialogue. After that, I will get the FB, then give the answer.
Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
Ask the learners to underline the items in the dialogue, then ask if the item is singular or plural, then ask to underline the first letter in every item, then ask if a or an comes before it.
Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
Provide the learners with few practices about a and an. Ask them to do them in pairs then FB.
Free Practice (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
Ask learners to tell each other the items they have at home.
