To provide clarification and review of Rooms and furniture vocabulary.

To provide review and practice of / there is , there are/ some /any in the context of Furniture and rooms in a hotel.

To provide gist and detailed reading about two hotel descriptions in the context of Little palm Island or Emirates Palace Hotel.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide product writing practice of sentences in the context of Furniture
Procedure (27-37 minutes)
T asks the ss to name all kinds of furniture that they see in the classroom, and then ask then to tell their partners about the furniture that they have in their homes.
T asks the ss to match the vocabulary with the pictures in ss book page 61 with their partners. T asks the ss to listen and check. pronunciation drills and stress practice.
T draws a picture of her home on the board tries to elicit the names of different rooms in that home, then asks the students to decide where to put the furniture they have in their books in each room asking the question : which things can you usually find in : a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and a bedroom. Write There is a .......... in the living room. There are some .............in the kitchen. There isn't a.............. in the bathroom. There aren't any ..............in the bedroom. Ask the ss to complete the sentences using the words on the board. Elicit from the ss when to use there is/ there are/ some / any. T asks ss to do exercise 2 and check with their partners.
Put the ss in two groups , give each group different picture of a hotel room. Ask the ss to write four sentences to talk about the things in the two rooms using there is/ there are/ some, any/ SS share their ss with the different group. T monitors for feed back. WC feed back and error correction.
