Procedure (31-39 minutes)
-T greets students - T asks Ss if they like Britain
- T explains what does the word "foreigner" mean - T tells students this is an article about foreigners who express their ideas about UK - T makes sure Sts understand what they have to do before reading
- T Engages Ss in a pair work - T monitors Ss silently
part 1 - Ss try to answer exercise A first in pairs - T monitors Ss in breakout rooms -T checks Ss answers Part 2 Exercise B,C - Ss read the article silently (individually) - T checks Ss answers - In exercise 5, T asks students to have a conversation in pairs
- To reduce TT - To maximize student participation
Some Ss are complete beginners, not good at understanding the main idea of reading. They will find the topic of the lesson interesting
Problem: Low level Ss might not be able to read Solution: Encourage them to read the simplest piece of the article
