Procedure (37-49 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
instructor asks students what do you do everyday?
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • Sts begin by reading an interview
First, Sts try to guess a man’s job, and then his wife’s job Second, instructor plays the recording (3.8)
Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to both second and third person singular.
(Do you…? Does he…?).
Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning
Elicit the difference between job and work (job is a noun; work is a verb)
Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To learn vocabulary about Jobs
Sts learn the vocabulary for common jobs, and how to say what they do.
