Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-T greets the students and starts by showing slide pg 2 & 3 and ask questions like: how do you describe each category? what words can be used for each photo? your house is similar to which one? -T shows slide pg 4 and ask students to match words with each word

Pre-Reading (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

-T shows slide pg 5 and ask student to read the summary and discuss their opinion for 5 minutes -T shows slide pg 6 and ask the students to mach the meanings and words -T drill the words

While-Reading #1 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

-T put student to 2 groups and ask each to read one of the texts in slide pg 7 & 8 -T ask Ss to do the practice on slide pg 9 in their groups -T put Ss in new pairs or groups mix from each group and ask them to tell each other about what they read -T monitors -T praise the Ss and provide support if needed

While-Reading #2 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

-T ask Ss to read the other text quickly and shows slide pg 11 and ask them to do the practice -T monitors -T praise the Ss and provide support if needed

Post-Reading (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

-T put Ss in pairs or groups and ask them to talk about slide pg12 -T monitors -T praise the Ss and provide support if needed
