Procedure (41-57 minutes)
Warmer (5-10 minutes) • Checking the homework
- Teacher checks the homework and get some oral feedback.
Pre-Reading (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible
- Teacher will show the students the title only and ask them to make predictions about the texts. What do we mean by tv programs? What is your favourite tv program? What is your parents favourite tv program?
While-Reading/Listening #1 (18-25 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks
- silent reading of the text - Teacher Read the text to model pronunciation and explain some difficult words if students ask so - Students read the text for the second time and try to answer the questions - Pair check - whole class feedback
Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned
- students try to put the dialogue in order - students check try to write about their favourite tv programs.
