Procedure (27-38 minutes)
1 . A brain storm activity about the United States of America (USA). 2 . It's a song about colours. It provides context for the target language through video and the teacher's talk
Page.28 : Ask Ss to match between adjectives and nouns to form the names of famous figures in the USA. Make a demonstration of the first exercise. Ask students to work in groups. Set a specific time. Check answers. Page.146 : 1.Ask Ss to match colours and their numbers. Make a demonstration of the first exercise. Set a specific time. Check answers. 2. Ask Ss to match the Adjectives and their pictures. Make a demonstration of the first exercise. Set a specific time. Check answers.
Page.28 : the teacher puts pictures and asks Ss to elicit their names according to the previous exercise. After eliciting every name , the teacher drills it with Ss then write them on board. Page.146 : Elicit the adjectives and their opposites from pictures presented. Drill the adjectives and their opposites with Ss in groups and then ask them individually. Write them on board.
Ask Ss to do exercise (c) in pair work. Set a specific time. Check answers.
Ask Ss to do exercise (d) in pair work by asking questions of opposites. Set a specific time. The teacher asks Ss individually.
The teacher divided Ask into two teams. The teacher plays a funny game ( without a word) using pictation on board. The team which guesses the right adjective drawn on board wins.
