Description

in this lesson students will learn about how to use past simple in a text. They will get to know the structure of past simple by reading a passaqge which is in past simple then they will practice using it in other examples .

Main Aims

To provide clarification of past simple in the context of friends

To provide gist reading practice using a text about what happened? in the context of friends

Procedure (11-16 minutes)

introductıon (6-8 minutes) • pre teach the new lesson

T-S introduce myself to SS and ask SS to introduce themselves T-S making some sentences in present simple to students and ask some questions and recieve the answers. T-S now make some sentences in past simple and explaine about the past tense by ıllustraing on diagram, T-S give some handouts to SS on which are written a reading about past simple T-S ask SS to read it in 3min and answer to wh questions in 3 min

structure identification (3-5 minutes) • ss will learn about the structure of past simple

T-S ask SS to underline the past simple structure together with adverbs of time. T-S explain the past form of verbs on the board to SS

feed back (2-3 minutes) • recieve some feed back from SS

T-S ask SS to make senteces about thenmselves ın past simple S-S work in group and practice past simple together T-S consider homework for SS to write for next session
