To provide accuracy and fluency speaking practice in a Conversation in the context of Time phrase (on,in,at,every)
Procedure (35-45 minutes)
1_ Teacher makes sure that all the students are seated and ready for the lesson. 2_ Teacher shows the students the time phrases chart using the projector. 3_ Teacher asks the students, where do you think the word (the morning) should go? 4_ Teacher elicits the answer from the students.
1_ Teacher asks the students to check the previous activity's answers in pairs. 2_ Teacher gets the students FB about the previous activity. 3_ Teacher gives answer key to draw the students attention to the correct use of the time phrases.
1_ Teacher demonstrates the correct form of the question (Do you watch TV in the morning?) using his fingers. 2_ Teacher makes sure that students are aware of the correct use of the time phrases by allowing them to form similar questions using the TL.
Ex 10 1_ Students will be given a grouped handouts (A,B). 2_ Teacher demonstrates the first two sentences ( watch TV in/on the morning.) 3_ teacher elicits the answers from the students. 4_ the students work in pairs on the same Ex while the teacher is monitoring them. 5_ Once the students finish the Ex, the teacher asks them to check the answers in pairs. 6_ the teacher asks the students FB, then gives the answer key.
Teacher's book (game) 1_ Teacher gets the students seated in two groups (A,B) around the table. 2_ Teacher gives the students two different sets of cards, the first set has (on,in,at,every) and the second set has different words written on it ( week,the morning, night, half past two , ...). 3_ Teacher assures that the cards face down. 4_ the students are asked to pick one of the cards from both sides. 5_ If the cards are matched ( at night), the student says snap and gets one point. 6_If the cars aren't matched, the students return them back and try again.
