I'm just going to tell them a personal story about myself, when I got lost, when I was young. I'll try to discuss it with them, then I'll connect that to the next stage.
In this stage, they are going to listen to a track, which is about Kristin who is telling her friend, Tom, about the time she got lost in Germany. Tom is showing interest and expressing that. They are going to have an activity, during listening, which is reordering the events. After that they are going to discuss it in pairs, then we will discuss it together and I'll give them the answer. Then I'm going to give them the script and ask them to underline the phrases of Tom showing interest in Kristin's story. then they will discuss together
After they check in pairs, I'll elicit the phrases, write them on the board and start showing the following: - form. - meaning. - intonation. and explain with examples.
I'm going to ask them to reread the script again and this time, I want them to use the right intonation, and switch to let the other partner give it a try and practice. Meanwhile, I'll be monitoring them from behind.
for the last activity, I'm going to ask them to think about the one time they got lost before, and then discuss it in pairs. I'll be monitoring from behind. After that, we will discuss it together.
