Procedure (35-45 minutes)
In order to generate interest in the topic, I'm going to narrate a story and have a little chat with them.
I'm going to elicit the new vocabulary such as acquaintance, neighbour,relative, stepmother, flatmate,colleague, and ex-girlfriend from them by using visuals and asking CCQs. After that, I'm going to drill and show the stress, and make sure that they can pronounce them.
I'm going to ask them to answer the first activity, which is filling a table about family, friends, school, work and others using the vocabulary that I explained earlier. After that, I'll ask them to check in pairs, then I'll ask them to share together or give them an answer key.
In this stage, they are going to listen to 8 instructions and fill the gaps with their answers, it's activity no.2 in the book.I'm going to make sure that they got the 8 instructions and ask them if they want to hear it again.
After I make sure that they finished listening and answering, I'm going to ask them to switch their handouts with their partners and start asking each others about the answers. After that, I'm going to let them share their information with me. Then I'll give them feedback.
