In a group of 3 or 4, T will ask the students to match the sentences with the phrases that are pasted on the wall to form a proper kind of advice. T will give Ss the answer key to check their answers
T will write two different advice sentences on the board, one as a statement and the other as a question, elicit the kind of verbs that are used in the both sentences "base verb and v-ing". T will drill these two sentences to focus on the pronunciation. T will draw two columns on the boars of the two forming verbs and will ask the students to use the pasted phrases to put them in the correct place.
T will focus on how the Ss can give advice by giving them instructions in telling them that they are going to look at some of the response Derek gave. T will do the first response as an example and then T will give Ss time to remember and discuss then they will check their answers from the tape script the T gives them.
T will write the first jumbled sentence in ex.3 on the WB and get the Ss to work out what it says. T will give Ss instructions to work in pairs to re-order the sentences. T can chech the students' answers by asking each pair group to write the answer on the board and then they check their answers. T will ask Ss to discuss in pairs the questions in ex.4 and take the students' feedback.
T will ask Ss to be divided into two groups "Asking for advice & giving advice". T will give Ss instructions before handing out the cards that they have to read their cards first and then find their partner in the other group
T will re-group the Ss in pairs 2, 4, 6, 8, are As. While odd numbers, 1, 3, 5, 7, are Bs. T will give Ss instructions that As will get cards for asking for advice and Bs should give the advice then Bs will get cards for asking for advice and As should give the advice.
