To give students exposure and practice of ‘Present Continuous Tense’ and ‘State Verbs’
Subsidiary Aims

To provide practice of reading for gist and specific information and to introduce and practice lexical phrases with 'place'
Procedure (21-33 minutes)
T. asks students 'Do you ever feel that you are being watched?' T. gets feedback from the students briefly.
T makes the students work in groups and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the security cameras through given handouts.
T. makes the students work in pairs and read the first statements and ask excersice 1 questions and feedback. T. makes them read the whole task, do excersise 2 and 3. T. makes them compare their own opinions about advantages and the disadvantages of security cameras if they are agree with the task.
T. makes the students underline the words which are using with 'place' and match them with their meanings in exercise 4.
T. Writes two sentences on the board about the task. T. will talk about 'Present Continuos Tense', asks some questions and shows some pictures T. gives some folded pieces of paper containing verbs. Ss will study in pair work and mime these verbs which they have and others predict 'what is he doing'. T. writes some state verbs on the board and gives examples. T. gives handouts and make them write sentences with these state verbs and after they should find a dynamic verb and write it under the sentences of state verbs. T. gives gap-fill handouts.
