Description

In this lesson,students practice some activities about the daily routine in the context of Everyday activities.

Abc Activity (Adapted from New English File Elementry .MACMILAN)
Abc Tasks(Designed by the teacher).

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification and practice of( what activities do we do everyday?)in the context of Everyday activities.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking in the context of Everyday activities.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

-show a video about someone who is talking about his everyday activities. -Ask the Ss about the activities showed in the video. -Listen to some some opinions.

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

-Ask the Ss to tell their partner (what activities can you see in the picture?). ICQ:You need to write your senrences. No,I want you only to speak. -Divide the Ss into 2 groups. Give each group a group of activities and ask them to stand up,move around the class and try to find the pictures attached to the activities in the paper then stick them on the board.

Teach (10-15 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

-Provide a simple clarification of the words that the Ss find them difficult.- -Drill each difficult word. -Ask Ss some CCQs to make sure that they get the meaning .

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

-Write the 2 sentences (I spend a lot of time)( I donot spend much time) on the board. -Show the difference in meaning between 2 sentences. -Ask the Ss to match the phrases in A with their opposites in B. -Monitor the Ss. -Ask the Ss to check their answers in pairs. -Give Ss feedback. -Ask the Ss (what verb form is used after all of these expressions?).

Production stage. (10-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

-Make each 2 students work together. (A)choose 4 activities from the box to ask his partner about. (B)Aswer these questions using the phrases from task 1. ( Extra Activity ) - Divide the Ss into 2 groups . Ask each students to come and choose a card then act the activity in the card to his group.

Feedback (3-5 minutes) • To praise any good use of the TL and correcting mistakes.

-Give Ss feedback about the previous task. Thank Ss for coming.
