To provide gist and detailed reading practice using a text about a story of two friends.

To provide fluency speaking practice in a group work in the context of description of good friend.
Procedure (31-38 minutes)
To show them the picture of the two friends and let the students guess what is the relation between these two men and why one of them use a wheelchair. They will work through group work. Each group has 5 students. One of them will present their answer.
To teach them the meaning of these words ( sense of humor - in common - untouchable).using board. 1- untouchable: My uncle is untouchable, no one hates him. meaning: No one refuse him/it because it / him is very good or powerful. Transcription: /ʌnˈtʌʧəbl/ 2- in common: Ali and me are very different, we have nothing in common. meaning: Each one has the same. Transcription: /ɪn ˈkɒmən/ 3- sense of humor: She is very funny, she has a sense of humor. meaning: to can make jokes. Transcription: /sɛns ɒv ˈhjuːmə/
To ask them answer this question: What is the topic of this text? They will work in pairs. And the teacher will choose some of them to answer. * They have handouts of the lesson.
The Student will read to answer these questions: 1- In what ways did Abdel help Philippe? 2- In what ways did Philippe help Abdel? 3- What is their relationship like now? 4- Why did Philippe love Abdel? They will work in 4 groups, each group has 4 students, each student is going to be responsible of 1 of these questions. Each group should have 2 presenters each one will present 2 questions’ answers. To make the students know about each others questions.
The same groups will answer this: Describe the best friend that you want to get. The group will present his answer through a different presenter
