Procedure (45-55 minutes)
I will divide the students into groups of 5 groups . I will give each group part of the text to read , and ask them to discuss how they can we describe persons . They will have 2 minutes to discuss in small groups, then we will share as a class for another 2 minutes.
I will put some pictures and definitions on the board, including the implied meanings of the blocking vocabulary. 2- Then, I will have the students stand up and have them match the definitions to the appropriate pictures. 3- After checking the matching part with the WC, I will put some examples on the board and will have the students match the definitions to the suitable examples. 4- At the last stage of the pre-reading, I will try to teach the pronunciation of the blocking vocabulary and have the students repeat the pronunciation of the words.
I will have the students practice skimming through the text quickly and then will have them associate each article with each of the postcards in the first activity. 2- Then, in the second activity, the students will be given a piece of paper, including some statements taken from the text. In this part of the lesson, I will have the students decide which of the statements are true and which of them are false. 3- In the third activity,I will give the students a piece of paper, including a question about the character types of the Persons
I will ask them about specific information in the text .They will discuss the questions together then tell me why
1- I will give a piece of paper to each student in the class and have them use the blocking vocabulary in order to have them make up their own Statements. 1- After they have finished making up their postcards, i will have the students share their postcards and the sentences written on each of them with the WC.
