Procedure (29-42 minutes)
I will bring a calendar to the class and ask ss we use this to know what? I will try to elicit the words 'days and months'. I will ask them what day is today? and what is this month?
I will give each student a calendar and ask them to point at their birthdays and the Christmas day.
I will ask them to focus on the days of the week and tell me how many days in the week ? and how many months in the year?
I will put some cards for the months by order starts with Sunday until Saturday. Then I will ask them " Today is ....." "Yesterday was ....." "Tomorrow is ...." " Our class is on ...." Then I will remove the cards and drill the days by order and then ask them to repeat in groups and them individually. Then I will do the same with months. I will ask them We are in which month? Then I will drill them first and then individually. Then I will ask them some CCQs: 1- In which is your birthday? 2- In which month is the Mother's day? February 3- What is the first month? 4- What is the last month?
I will give two hand-out to re-arrange the days of the week and the months. Check in pairs. Give them the feedback.
I will ask them to work in pairs and speak with each other about special events in any month of the year and a habit on a special day of the week. They will give me a feedback about each other. I will give them the feedback.
