By the end of this session, students will have had the chance to practice using vocabulary related to financial lexis in the context of
Procedure (33-49 minutes)
Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
- Show students picture 'Money doesn't grow on trees' - Ask them about it and give them time to discuss its meaning and when it is used. - Ask Ss if people would be happy if money did grow on trees.
Test #1 (5-8 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language
- Ss match words to their meanings
Teach (10-15 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

Test #2 (5-8 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test
1. Give Ss some sentences to fill in the gaps 2. Ask Ss to walk around the class to find the answers on the walls. 3. Ss compare their answers in pairs. 4. Give out answers .
Free practice (10-13 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
- Give Ss a set of questions to discuss together - Monitor to make sure they are using the TL
