Ss are then asked to listen to 4 people talking about where they met their partners and match each one with a place in the previous lesson. (p.43: A-D). Three new words are then elicited and the audio will be played again and ss are asked to make notes on how people met (pausing for each speaker) and share notes in pairs. The most romantic story is then voted in the class.
Two extracts from the audio are written on the board followed by 2 questions on the grammar and answers are then elicited as an open class activity.
The form and the meaning of used to are then elicited by CCQs and ss listen to an audio to be exposed to the linked pronunciation followed by some drilling.
Ss are then given handouts to complete sentences, using +,_ and ? form of used to in activity a. answers are then checked in pairs and a review with the class.
Ss are then asked to see if highlighted part of sentences is correct and write the correct form for wrong parts. Answers are then checked in pairs and reviews in class. Answer key will be handed out and some time to check all answers.
Ss are given handout and some time to choose three topics out of 6 and plan what they are going to say followed by an example about me (the awkward thing I used to do with my eye as a teenager). Pairs in groups of morning and evening person (A and B if it was difficult :)), will then talk about their personal present or past habits and their peer asks for more information. They take turns and some interesting habits will be shared with class.
