Procedure (45-56 minutes)
- After a short greeting, - T will show some pictures to Ss, trying to Elicit some vocab. - The pictures will be stuck to the whiteboard.
- "Look at these photos. Is there a story here?" - T will try to elicit the context of the song from the students. -"In your groups, try to come up with a story with these pictures." - Students will try to come up with a story, connecting the photos to each other."
-Some gist questions will be projected on the board. - Students will listen to the song and answer the questions. -Some students will be nominated to answer the questions. - Students will have some cut-ups in front of them. They are all extracted from the lyrics. - They need to listen to the song and take the cut-up when they hear the word. -" when you hear a word, take the cut-up. The student with most cut-ups wins."
- Students will be provided with the lyrics to the song, but the lyrics are incomplete. - Students will listen to the song again and try to complete the lyrics. -The worksheet will be projected on the board. -Students will come to the board and write the answers. -The answer key will be handed out as feedback.
- Some problems regarding life in big cities will be written on the board. - Students need to talk about these problems in their own city. - They will exchange ideas on how they would try to fix these problems if they were in charge.
