Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (4-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T asks Ss to get their mobile phones out. T will also do it. Then T will elicit from the Ss about their relation with their mobile phones. T will ask some questions such as ''Do you like your mobile phone? '' ''What do you do with your mobile phone?'' '' Who do you talk with on the phone?'' ''What are the good things and bad things on it?'' Then T will group the Ss in 3 or 4 and will ask them to talk about their mobile phones in groups.

Pre-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

T will show the visuals about ''turn on'' '' turn off '' ''Call'' ''Send''. T will also ask Ss to practice the actions on their mobile phones. T will ask 1-2 CCQs to make them clear. Then T will chest the gap-fill HO and ask them to fill in the gaps. T will ask them to peer-check. T will play the track 2.77 for the feedback. Then, T will draw 3 stickmen and mobile phones near them on the WB related to the reading text and introduce them to Ss eliciting from them.

While-Reading #1 (4-6 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading

T will ask Ss to read the text about 3 people in 1 minute and find out who likes mobile phones and who doesn't. After they finish reading, T will ask Ss to peer-check and will elicit the answers from the Ss. T will tick on the stickman's mobile phones if he/she likes mobile phones and will cross on his/her mobile phones if he/she doesn't like mobile phones.

While-Reading #2 (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed reading tasks

T will chest the HO and will ask Ss to read the text again and do the exercises T/F. After they finish, T will ask them to peer-check and discuss the sentences whether they are true or not. Then T will elicit the answers from Ss and ask the reasons for their answers. Then T will ask Ss talk with their partners about which one is similar to them; Sara, Clark or Pavla.

Post-Reading Activity #1 (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

T will ask Ss to think about their mobile phones and write 5 sentences about their relation with their mobile phones. Then T will ask them to tell their sentences to their partners.

Post reading activity #2 (8-10 minutes) • To provide students with opportunity to practice their productive skills

T will make 3 groups. Then T will chest the advertisements and will ask Ss talk about the advertisements (it has mp3, it has internet, it is £1000...). T will give 4-5 mins for this. Then T will regroup the Ss, taking 1 student from each group. Then T will ask them to tell about the advertisements they have. Then T will ask Ss which phone is the best to buy.
