Procedure (42-59 minutes)
show students a picture of myself when I was a child to notice the difference to activate their schemata and brainstorm ideas about their childhood. ask students to speak about their life 10 years ago and share their memories. Introduce their stories in front of the class.
The teacher gives out a short story and asks learners to read it individually.
The teacher asks students underline examples of the past simple in the text.
The teacher clarifies the form with examples on the board and then gives out a series of rules of the use of the verb form. I will read out loud the past simple form of the verbs I previously gave them and ask the students to repeat after me.
